Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the pre-requisites for installing 1Touch Contacts?

Any Pocket PC (touchscreen) or Smartphone (non-touchscreen) having Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher with 1MB of available storage space. If your Phone doesn't have NET CF 2.0 SP2, you will need a further 5 MB of storage space. Windows Mobile 6.0 and above based devices come with NET CF 2.0 SP2 (or above) built-in to the ROM and you do not have to worry about installing it.

2. What is .NET Compact Framework?

The Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (NET CF) is a version of the .NET Framework that is designed to run on mobile/embedded devices such as PDAs, mobile phones, factory controllers, set-top boxes, etc. The .NET Compact Framework uses some of the same class libraries as the full .NET Framework and also a few libraries designed specifically for mobile devices. It is a key part of realizing Microsoft's goal to provide customers with great experiences—any time, any place, and on any device.

3. Does my device require NET CF? If so, how do I install it?

1Touch Contacts requires NET CF 2.0 SP2 and above to run. All 1Touch Installers come with the NETCF 2.0 SP2 installation file. If you do not know whether you have NETCF 2.0 SP2 or above, simply click on 'Install' when prompted to do so by the installation program. If its not present, the installer will install it. If the installer comes back with a message saying that NETCF 2.0 SP2 is already present, you can safely click on 'Cancel'.
